Defending Triple Crown® winner Hans Peter, of Overland Park, Kansas, took a dominating win in C Sports Racing and overall at the 52nd Annual Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints, after early overall and DSR leader J.R. Osborne, of Centennial, Colorado, was sidelined with mechanical problems. Peter is well on his way to a second-straight Triple Crown, currently holding a substantial lead in his Divisional point race in addition to the Sprints win.

When Osborn retired, it gave the D Sports Racing class lead to Jean-Luc Liverato, of Alpharetta, Ga. Liverato held off Dorian Foyil to take the DSR win, second overall, in his Stohr WF1.

Local driver Bart Wolf, of Elkhart Lake, Wis., dogged defending Triple Crown winner Mark Mercer for much of the race before Mercer pulled off with a mechanical problem with two laps remaining, giving the Sports 2000 class win to Wolf.

Béry FIA Approved, US Ready

The Béry ES 7 sports racer complies with FIA safety regulations, and is now ready for importation into the USA. The ES 7 is the second version of the Béry produced by TRA Engineering of Switzerland.

The chassis and suspension have under gone significant changes since the previous 2005 model. Additional improvements include a cockpit that is 20% larger to accommodate full size drivers.

Chassis construction continues to be aluminum monocoque with integral steel roll structure.

The engine in the initial ES 7 is a fuel injected Suzuki GSXR 1000, that has been dry-sumped.

The car uses conventional shocks and springs, actuated by rocker arms. However, the arrangement at the front appears to utilize a interesting mono-shock/spring.

Additional photos and larger images can be viewed in the Béry ES 7 Photo Gallery.

US Importation

TRA Engineering is looking for a US based company to import and support their products. The company had received some inquiries about distributing the car in the US at the time they started in 2005. Due to a commitment to a US based group wishing to obtain the exclusive rights, TRA was unable to follow through on these other requests. However, today they are now totally free to sell and distribute their
cars worldwide.
