Overall Design Designed using CADKEY 98. Stohr will also use LAPFEA to do stress analysis.
Frame 4130 steel space frame, aluminum or carbon skinned, very carefully analyzed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize weight and  stiffness. 

Dash

Includes switches for ignition, lights and starter. Choose gauges and electronic package from Options List
Suspension All Suspension a-arms and links are made from 4130 aircraft steel, TIG welded.
Design Tech. From the latest Stohr Formula Fords.
Uprights Stohr modular units, CNC 7075T6 aluminum part, using common VW bearings, hubs and CV's. 
Rear Beasley type chain sprocket/ single vented rear disc brake assembly with lightened Lobro CV Joints and halfshafts.     
Shocks Single adjustable Penske specially valved by Stohr Racing.

Brakes

Front: Wilwood aluminum 4 piston brake calipers, solid 3/8" thick rotors.  Rear: Single vented rear disc brake assembly.  AP Racing master cylinders with cockpit brake bias adjustment knob. Several upgrades listed on Options List.
Rod Ends Aurora 

Steering Wheel

Momo with quick release hub. 
Wheels 6" front, 8" rear, Panasport aluminum alloy one piece wheels, wider wheels are optional, see Options List.
Engine Initially designed for Yamaha R1, with others optional after first 2 cars. Roller kit does not include engine. See Options List.

Radiator

Aluminum
Oil Cooling Provision for an oil cooler exists for those motors requiring one.
Body Low frontal area. The rear deck, between the fenders, is only 13" above the ground.

Material

Lightweight hand-layed epoxy/fiberglass cloth with honeycomb reinforcement as required.  Lighter vacuum bagged glass/carbon/kevlar parts will be optional, see Options List. Portions of the front nose/ underbody venturi may be honeycomb cored, vacuum-bagged parts.

Rear Wing

Aluminum or composite TBD
Safety Forward and side crush box structures will be incorporated in the design. Head protection includes cockpit edge padding similar to F1/ Stohr FF1600.  Also, space for the HANS helmet restraint system is provided.

Fuel Cell

8 gallon Fuel Safe bladder with submerged electric AC-Delco pump and pressure relief valve.
Fire System 5 lb, 2 outlet nozzles, per SCCA GCR 17.22.1.
Seat belts 6-point Formula Style TRS systems or equivalent.
Included are: Battery, wiring, master switch, pedals, throttle cable, brake lines/fittings, bolts, shifter/linkage, mirrors, tail/rain lights, water lines, header tank, and SCCA Homologation Certificate.
